Distribution Supervisor

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Distribution Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Manager designate, team lead responsibilities over yard operatives.
  • Responsibility over admin staff and delegation of daily work tasks 
  • Debrief drivers daily ensuring all delivery/vehicle documentation is correct and all issued equipment is returned
  • To control driver and vehicle compliance
  • To liaise with other departments on operational issues
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Professional attitude, customer focussed.
  • CPC advantageous or working knowledge/experience of EU Driver rules.
  • Experience of leading multi-function team/s in a transport environment.
  • Experience of working in food manufacture/supply.
  • Competent in multiple software applications (ideally include all MS Office suite)
