Based at one of our Corporate Services contracts in Stevenage, Hertfordshire we require a highly motivated and commercially minded manager to oversee the delivery of distribution and logistics services.
Role Responsibility
- Management of all distribution and logistics services which includes goods in, shipping and mail operations, ensure delivery of contract to agreed level of quality
- You will provide direction and expertise to the operating areas by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values
- Management of 2 x direct reports 17 x indirect reports
- Ensuring full compliance with all legislative and company policies & procedures
- Responsible for the coordination of the supply chain process involving suppliers and consumers
- Effectively manage surplus and obsolete inventories
- Create an open environment that encourages people to work together to solve problems and improve practices and services
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong D&L background with demonstrable track record of results
- Highly motivated customer focused leader
- Strong people management skills
- Good communicator
- Experience in lean manufacture, kanban and kazien continuous improvement or similar tools would be an advantage
- IOSH managing safely
- Experience of working to GxP standards
