Director of Culinary Practices (Global)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for Director of Culinary Practices (Food) on a Full Time, Permanent basis to join our Food team within our Service Operations segment.  This role is Home Based, but will require national, and international travel.

The Director of Culinary Practices will work with Global Executive Chef to help establish Sodexo as the culinary leader in the marketplace

Role Responsibility

  • Leading the design and deployment of global standards for culinary quality and execution as well as global frameworks for recipe and menu development that insure optimized costs and financial performance
  • Responsible for driving culinary innovation through trend utilization and efficient recipe/menu design that will drive consumer satisfaction and reduce cost  
  • Create culinary network with key culinary leaders in each segment
  • Assist Global Executive Chef with strategic plans, ROI scenarios, business plans and lead region teams in their implementation. 
  • Acting as the global ambassador representing Sodexo’s culinary principles & heritage and voicing these key messages to stakeholders (internal/external) as well as the marketplace at large.
  • Lead Sodexo’s Culinary Community Globally and help deliver step change in quality focus in Food Service Development & Deployment within the region/globally to prepare for optimization of services that deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Accelerate Sodexo ability to bring innovation to market in a timely manner

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive professional experience in the food service and/or restaurant industry 
  • Top flight culinary skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Strong influencing skills with proven effectiveness in successfully leading work streams and project teams
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Proven ability to manage projects on time, on budget and to measurable outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of organization and with different cultures
  • Ability to work autonomously and to prioritize high volumes of work
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Recipe testing/development experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain-Product Specification experience
