Development Chef

Job Introduction

Are you a Chef passionate about culinary excellence and innovation? We have an excellent opportunity to join the Sports and Leisure business working closely with the Executive Chef to drive excellence and innovation across our range of amazing venues in the South.

As a Development Chef you will champion and lead all culinary activity from ensuring the highest quality of offers and menu development and ensuring our Chefs are trained to the highest level across our client sites. Working on a variety of projects, we are looking for an experienced Chef who can work across the south region.

Our heritage is built on catering and hospitality experience and fuelled by our passion for exceptional food and service. For over 40 years we have been providing bespoke catering and hospitality services for sports stadia, racecourses, visitor, attractions, historic venues, major events and premium airline lounges. Recognised across the globe for hospitality, we help create exceptional moments at extraordinary events such as Royal Ascot, Tour de France, The Open Championship and RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver a variety of projects to drive culinary excellence in partnership with the Exec Chef.
  • Support and develop the food offers across the business.
  • Menu development, testing and validating all new recipes working in line with our culinary team
  • Building rapport with other chefs within the business and share ideas, innovation and best practise,
  • Lead the way when new client initiatives are relevant to food 
  • Provide direction and expertise to the chefs and operators by promoting quality of life and great place to work strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values.
  • Motivate and lead a high performing culinary team to achieve their objectives and our culinary strategy.
  • Support new business opportunities where applicable

The Ideal Candidate

  • High level of culinary & retail experience
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clear and effective leadership style
  • Ability to analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovate solutions/approaches
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Able to demonstrate personal self-development and development of team
  • Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices
  • Must have full UK& Ireland driving licence
  • Food safety L3, & IOSH
  • City & Guilds diploma or equivalent
