Development Chef

Job Introduction

Are you a Chef passionate about culinary excellence and developing talent?

Sodexo are looking for a Development Chef to join our prestigious corporate client team. 

As Development Chef you will champion and lead all culinary activity from ensuring the highest quality of service, menu development to ensuring our Chefs are trained to the highest level across our client sites.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for culinary excellence within GSK GMS UK, ensuring units deliver both qualitative and quantitative results, to be achieved by fostering long term profitable relationships by delivering operational excellence.
  • Provide direction and expertise to the chefs and operators by promoting quality of life and great place to work strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values.
  • Motivate and lead a high performing culinary team to achieve their objectives and our culinary strategy.
  • To provide excellent customer service, perform the preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages to the client and Sodexo’s satisfaction. 
  • Support new business opportunities where applicable
  • Support and develop the food offer across Corporate services platform
  • Menu development, testing and validating all new recipes working in line with our corporate services culinary team
  • Build rapport with other chefs within the business and share ideas, innovation and best practise,
  • Lead the way when new client initiatives are relevant to food
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong level of literacy and numeracy
  • High level of culinary & retail experience
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clear and effective leadership style
  • Ability to analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovate solutions/approaches
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Computer literate
  • Able to demonstrate personal self-development and development of team
  • Demonstration of team work, implementing initiatives and working on own judgement and decisions
  • Change management and performance management experience as with any operation, flexibility is a must.
  • Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices
  • Strong customer service skills
  • High levels of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Must have full UK& Ireland driving licence
  • Food safety L3, & IOSH
  • City & Guilds diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience with in relevant B&I industry
  • Excellent time management skills
