Design Support Manager (Account Manager)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Design Support Manager (Account Manager) to join our team within Service Operations. The role will manage two other members of the team so previous leadership experience is essential along with a creative flair and previous graphic design experience of producing artwork in an account management role either in agency/in-house. In return the role comes with a very attractive salary, bonus and the flexibility to work from home at least one day a week

This is a pivotal role within the team as you will act as one point of contact for all artwork briefs from Segment and Service Operations post bid. You will own relationships and spend with all design agencies whilst utilising in-house expertise to maximise agency spend. Manage the relationship of print suppliers to ensure Sodexo receive competitive pricing on products and be responsible for leading design solutions for the business which are of high standard and carry a high visual impact.

Service Operations is the part of our business that supports segment development by providing expertise and process standardisation across all segments. Service Operations leverages our global expertise and best practice to bring the best of Sodexo to all of our clients. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Act as one point of contact for all artwork briefs from Segment and Service Operations post bid.
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet segment and client objectives, whilst seeking innovative ideas to ensure Sodexo remains competitive within the marketplace.
  • Responsible for the graphic design of all promotional marketing materials for Sodexo’s restaurants, retail and hot beverage offers. This includes but is not limited to the creation, production and delivery of large scale graphic design projects for print and electronic media, including posters, flyers, coupons, booklets, banners etc
  • Lead a strong relationship with key stakeholders both internally and externally; including print management companies and segment representatives.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in account management either on agency/in-house
  • Strong leadership and people management skills and confidence in presenting to senior teams.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of branding and brand development, with the ability to adapt styles to meet different brand requirements for Sodexo and/or third party high street brands/products. .
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs.
  • Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to designs.
  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas into the business.

 

Desirable
  • Understanding of latest high street consuming trends and their impact in a commercial environment.
  • Skilled in using a variety of industry standard packages including: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
  • Experience of new media, including adapting artwork for use on digital displays and Social Media.
