Custody Clerk (Scale 1)

Job Introduction

HMP Forest Bank are currently recruiting for a Scale 1 Custody Clerk. You will be part of a multi-tasked administration team performing a variety of duties to ensure the smooth running of the function, providing a service to the prison.

If you have great IT and literacy skills including Word and Excel and have the ability to work well under pressure whilst paying attention to detail this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

Sodexo Justice Services delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide general administration support with a focus on the preparation and maintenance of files.
  • Manage administrative work and filing.
  • Manage the effective archiving, retention and destruction of prisoner records. Keeping information stored safely. Safeguarding against incidents of information security breach.
  • Deal with telephone and face to face queries.
  • Organise incoming post
  • Correspond with internal and external stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good level of qualifications, administrative skills and experience.
  • To be committed to personal development.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Good eye for detail

£15.914.88 + 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
