Corporate Sous Chef
Job Introduction
We are looking to recruit a talented Sous Chef, to support the Executive Head Chef to manage the kitchen and catering operation for a high profile corporate client.
This role will suit an experienced Sous Chef looking to gain career development within a large organisation.
Role Responsibility
- Support the Executive Head Chef to deliver an effective catering and hospitality operation
- Produce quality food for a range of services, including home baked cakes and breads, corporate restaurant catering and hospitality
- Oversee a brigade of 6 and deputise in the absence of the Exec Chef
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh and to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation.
- Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.
- Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as Sous Chef, ideally from a conferencing or hotel environment
- Craft background and passion for delivering great food and service
- Good financial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
- City & Guilds 1 & 2 Catering or NVQ equivalent
