Corporate Sous Chef

Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit a talented Sous Chef, to support the Executive Head Chef to manage the kitchen and catering operation for a high profile corporate client.

This role will suit an experienced Sous Chef looking to gain career development within a large organisation.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Executive Head Chef to deliver an effective catering and hospitality operation
  • Produce quality food for a range of services, including home baked cakes and breads, corporate restaurant catering and hospitality
  • Oversee a brigade of 6 and deputise in the absence of the Exec Chef
  • Ensure all food is prepared fresh and to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation.
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.
  • Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as Sous Chef, ideally from a conferencing or hotel environment
  • Craft background and passion for delivering great food and service
  • Good financial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
  • City & Guilds 1 & 2 Catering or NVQ equivalent
