Finance Contract Analyst

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Contract Analyst to join our supply management team based in Stevenage. You will support the Finance Manager in providing direct support to the Global Buying teams with regard to financial analyses, modeling, contract evaluation and performance measurements for Broker Fees and volume savings. You will be involved in budgeting, forecasting and actual reporting process for Broker Fees including quarterly and year end reporting. This role would ideally suit a part qualified or qualified accountant with strong IT systems experience.

Role Responsibility

  • Enter contract terms and conditions into the Purchasing Income Calculation System (PICS)
  • Capture, validation (consistency and reasonableness check) and entry of all calendar volumes received from participating countries into the system
  • Support the Buyers with the annual volume reconciliation process
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual performance analysis for review with Buyers and Finance Management
  • Provision of data for audit purposes and resolution of queries with external auditors
  • Preparation of Budget and Forecast for broker fees on all agreements as per contract terms for the Financial Year
  • Jointly support the Finance Manager in maintaining and developing the Purchasing Income Calculation System (PICS)
  • Provide all round financial support to the Global Buying teams
  • Ensure open communication with the Finance community throughout Sodexo, within Service Operations and the Regions/Segments
  • Understanding and providing adequate support to the SES and Sourcing Asia teams regarding new initiatives and RFPs being launched

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified / Part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Strong IT Systems background
  • Demonstrable advanced knowledge of MS Excel systems essential
  • Ability to focus on continuous improvement and streamline processes, tools etc.
  • Solid interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and at pace & able to demonstrate working under own initiative, taking responsibility for continuously driving improvements both alone and as part of a wider team
  • Attention to detail and respect of deadlines

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of the following systems desirable: SAP / Essbase / Oracle / IBM BRMS
  • Global mind-set, international experience and/or exposure an advantage
