Commis Chef

Job Introduction

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Head Chef, the kitchen team member will assist in the preparation and service of all sections in the Kitchen, whilst learning and adhering to all company health and food safety legislation.

  • To assist with all aspects of the catering operation on site
  • To deliver the highest level of catering wherever possible

Role Responsibility

 

  • Supports the kitchen team to ensure that all food items for the business are prepared and served on time and meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Support the kitchen team to maintain the cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators, freezers, kitchens, food preparation areas and completes all due diligence paperwork.
  • Support the kitchen in minimizing spoilage and waste, ensuring that produce is stored correctly, portion control is adhered to and any waste is recorded.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all team members and clients
  • Communicating effectively to team members.
  • To be aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work and ensure that all legal requirement are met including: Licensing, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions and any others.
  • Adherence to the all Policies and procedures.

Package Description

This is an apprenticeship level role where we will gain training on and off site to a Commis Chef level.

You will be working at our fantastic venue as well as gaining your apprenticeship at the same time.
