Commercial Finance Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to provide an effective and efficient support to Supply Management teams within Service Operations. You will provide direction in all commercial and financial areas including but not limited to: business analysis, reporting, accounting, contracts and pricing models.  This role would suit an experienced Commercial Manager who has solid, demonstrable experience of large complex contracts and pricing models with a view to delivering agreed solutions.

Service Operations is the part of our business that supports segment development by providing expertise and process standardisation across all segments. Service Operations leverages our global expertise and best practice to bring the best of Sodexo to all of our clients. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.

Role Responsibility

  • Analyse the price negotiations of the UK & Republic of Ireland buying team to validate the impact on the business from bid price through to the into unit price point.
  • Transition of key activities as part of change program i.e. Republic of Ireland pricing and logistics/distributor commercial management
  • Review and understand Energy & Resources pricing models with the aim to transition their management into Commercial Finance
  • Undertake with Supply Chain teams commercial evaluation of tenders and, where applicable, identification of further opportunities
  • Review Sodexo core contracts from a pricing perspective to allow for sign off and issue to the vendors
  • Production of standard monthly reports providing the latest Vendor and Profit Centre landscapes to enable more granular analysis to occur
  • Ability to drive improvements across key end-to-end activities on a pro-active basis
  • Review process and procedure on an on-going basis and consistently drive continuous improvement and alignment with Sodexo practices
  • Undertake projects in and outside business as required by key stakeholders within Supply Management and Service Operations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Outstanding track record in influencing decision making and performance/profit improvement.
  • Experience of supply management and/or food service/facilities management
  • Experience of project management and programme control.
  • Prior experience of ensuring tight cost control in a competitive, low margin business.
  • Experience of directly and indirectly being approached and asked to solve the most critical and difficult problems within the business model spanning all different functional areas including finance, operations and business development
  • Strong analytical skills including building financial models
  • Motivated and passionate and able to use initiative to work equally well alone or as part of a team and flexible in approach.
  • Good Stakeholder management

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Sodexo segment structures and contract types
  • Experience of working successfully with accrediting and regulatory bodies and implementing associated programmes
