Commercial Finance Manager (Custodial and Community)

Job Introduction

Sodexo Justice Services delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England and Scotland and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager on a 12 month FTC. You will be instrumental in supporting effective implementation of complex change management programme, and achievement of target commercial outcomes, through delivery of accurate modelling and financial analyses presented in a simple and insightful way for senior internal stakeholders. You will provide professional advice to the Finance Business Development Manager on all matters of commercial, contractual and operational finance.

Role Responsibility

• Provide accounting and performance analytics for the Custodial and Community business, providing insight to the financial and operational performance.
• Monitor, report and forecast the Custodial and Community business performance, delivering accurate management information and transparency of the key cost drivers, identifying risks, issues and recommendations of corrective action(s) where required.
• Review and challenge business performance, using commercial insight, benchmarking and detailed modelling, to provide clear recommended actions.
• Advisory role to the Custodial and Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRC) Finance & Performance teams.
• Undertake detailed modelling to translate to recommend appropriate actions to achieve the financial and operational targets.
• Support the business development team with analytics, modelling and commercial insight to ensure sustainable profitable growth is achieved through quality new business opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW Qualified
• Strong data analytics and modelling skills, coupled with attention to detail
• Good consultation, presentation and documentation skills
• Good understanding of Contract Law and Commercial Trading terms
• Strong Financial Management experience in a commercial environment
• Highly organised, flexible and responsive, with ability to deliver under pressure with excellence
