Coffee Bar Assistant

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a full time café assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression

Role Responsibility

  • Taking responsibility for the cash float and cashing up at the end of the shift
  • Carrying out temperature checks on all refrigerator equipment
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Confidently open or close the outlet 
  • Engage in briefings pre-service
  • Undertaking visual Health & Safety checks and ensure all accidents are recorded and reported

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • A background in the catering industry
  • Basic knowledge of food Health & Safety

Package Description

Full time position during university term times in a busy coffee outlet on the main campus at York St john University. Working 5/7 but generally Mon-Fri daytime with occasional weekend cover work if required. 

Would really suit customer focused candidate with experience in a café / coffee outlet.

Part time positions also considered.
