Cleaning Manager (MOD site)

Job Introduction

As Cleaning Manager, you'll plan, organise and coordinate an effective delivery of cleaning service to the client organisation across Cavalry Barracks, in line with service level agreement and agreed performance indicators

Join our friendly and proactive team at Cavalry Barracks in this newly scoped role, you get the opportunity to run a high performing cleaning function with the added bonus of not having to work regular unsocial hours.  Our role offers you this with the core hours being Monday to Friday with some evening and weekends when necessary to support/oversee the team as Duty Manager during major functions - this is currently one in four weekends.

With strong public transport links, the tube is only ten minutes walk away from the Barracks and there is also a good bus route.

Role Responsibility

  • Plan, organise and coordinate an effective delivery of cleaning service to the client organisation across Cavalry Barracks, in line with service level agreement and agreed performance indicators.
  • Measure existing service provision and proactively seek ways of continuous improvement.
  • Grow services in order to meet client and commercial expectations whilst maintaining strict budgetary control in line with client and Sodexo expectations
  • Monitor all cleaning standards and hygiene standards and ensure they are maintained at the highest level

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Proven Supervisory / Team Leadership
  • Good numerical and communication skills, must be able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication, and effective English language comprehension
  • Management knowledge of health & safety
  • Experience of managing budgets to target
  • British Institute of Cleaning Standards
  • Knowledge of external cleaning developments and innovations
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Brand Ambassador
 
Desirable
  • Proven experience of working in a similar role within the service industry at a comparable level in a company
  • Awareness of quality management systems e.g .ISO
  • IOSH qualification
  • British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) qualified
