Class 2 Distribution Drivers

Job Introduction

A fantastic opportunity to join a market leading company involved in the production and distribution of high quality, nutritious meals to the healthcare, education and local authority sectors across the UK. Tillery Valley Foods are the market leaders in healthcare catering, with more than 30 years’ experience solving the sector's complex needs.

We are currently looking for Drivers to deliver product to our customers whilst maintaining the temperature and quality, communicating with the customers upon arrival.

Based out of our Croydon Depot, you will be allocated alternate routes dependent upon customer orders. Tillery Valley Foods have their own Class 1 and 2 Fleet Vehicles and company fuel cards are provided for business use only.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver product to customer as required, including specific requirements
  • Adhere to agreed delivery times as per documentation
  • Carry out companies temperature control procedures
  • Carry out required “pre checks” on vehicle before commencing duty
  • Report vehicle defects daily
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in vehicle
  • Deliver product to customer as required, including specific requirements
  • Adhere to drivers hours rules under EC directive
  • Adhere to company hygiene and health and safety procedures
  • Be aware of the company’s quality management system and in particular, to follow any quality assurance work instructions that are applicable to the job
  • Act in appropriate manner towards our customers.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum License LGV 2 & Driver CPC Qualification: 1 year
  • LGV 2
  • Good customer service skills
  • Driving License held for 2 + Years
  • No more than 6 Points on Driving License
  • No Disqualifications in 5 Years

Package Description

44 hours per week (based on 4 day over 7 day rota)

£28,392 per annum (£12.40 per hour)
