Job Introduction

Sodexo Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Steward/Heli-Admin to join our new Sodexo contract. This role has a 3on/3off rotation mobilising from Aberdeen. The successful employee will work 161 days with an extended field break.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the COTA team, contributing to the provision of quality catering and heli-admin services while adhering to health and safety guidelines and working regulations at all times.

Role Responsibility

Chief Steward Duties

  • Organising and managing all housekeeping and accommodation services safely and effectively

  • Motivating, managing and monitoring employees under your control by proper allocation of duties and responsibilities to ensure the company provide an excellent service

  • Ensuring a well stocked Bond and associated administration

  • Ensuring chemical store is kept tidy, organised and appropriately stocked and that a copy of COSHH data sheets are available on-site

  • Providing management support to the Unit Manager, undertaking additional management duties as required to ensure professional management of the unit

  • Arranging work schedules and implementing cleaning schedules for accommodation fixtures and fittings

  • Carrying out cleaning, laundering and galley/mess duties safely, efficiently and thoroughly in accordance with schedules and procedures provided

  • Assisting with additional tasks such as deep cleaning and unloading containers

  • Ensuring all duties and responsibilities are undertaken in full compliance of the Health and Safety at Work Act as well as meeting safety standards set by Sodexo and the Client

     

    Heli-Admin Duties

  • Managing reception service; allocation of accommodation, muster stations and lifeboat allocation

  • Operating personnel movements programmes including checking of daily flights and arranging crew changes to flights

  • Carrying out all logistic requirements in accordance with clients procedures

  • Maintaining all log books and paperwork and ensuring movements programme is accurate and up to date

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar position offshore- chief/lead steward and heli-admin

  • Must have previous experience with Bond programme

  • Must have all heli-admin certificates including- GMDSS (GOC), CAA, Dangerous Goods by Air, Vantage and Met Observer

  • Must have valid BOSIET, MIST, CA-EBS and offshore medical

  • First Aid training is desirable but can be completed within the first three months

  • Actively demonstrate role model attitudes and behaviours by displaying an approachable, friendly and helpful manner to colleagues and customers at all times.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
