Job Introduction

Role Responsibility

Junior Sous Chef:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Sous Chef to ensure that the highest standard of food produce is served to our clientele.  You will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the business in the absence of the Senior Sous Chef and have an abundance of energy, ambition and drive for great food.

 

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the kitchen operation in the absence of the Senior Sous Chef, maintaining standards; company policies and procedures  

  • Managing the delivery of food production / ordering / stock control

  • To assist in the delivery of innovative training; induction and mandatory; to improve the overall performance of the team

  • To control wastage and help maintain food costs

  • Champion role for maintaining all allergen data – ensuring all files are updated

  • Updating and recording daily HACCP Records

The Ideal Candidate

Competencies / Person Specification:

  • Previous experience as a Chef (1 year required)
  • Previous experience in running all aspects of the kitchen and the managing of the the team desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of both personal and professional hygiene standards

Package Description

Working 5 days out of 7 days

20 days holiday plus bank holidays
