Role Responsibility

Adhering to company health and safety and COSHH regulations
Adhering to company food safety policies
Ensure all relevant documentation is completed
Assist in the ordering and correct storage of food stuffs
Ensure that the kitchen where you are working is kept clean and tidy at all times
To undertake any other reasonable task as required
Be able to identify allergens and communicate these to serving staff, customers and clients

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience as a chef in a busy catering environment
Ability to work both in a team and alone
A high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
A basic knowledge of special diets and allergens
An awareness of working within a set budget
Ability to use one's initiative
Basic computer skills
Ability to complete documentation accurately
An intermediate food hygiene and IOSH qualification would be desirable

Package Description

We are currently seeking an experienced chef to join our catering team at Airedale General. The role entails cooking fresh meals in the busy on site restaurant and working in the patient dining kitchen preparing meals and snacks for patients with dietary requirements. Sodexo will provide you with all the necessary training with options for further progression if desired. Enhancement rates are paid for weekends and bank holidays.
