Job Introduction

Role Responsibility

Job Purpose

  1. To obtain all food knowledge, portion specifications and guidelines on food production and delivery
  1.   To assist as directed with all aspects of preparation, production and presentation of food
  1. Deliver on all Operating Brands offers to Company specifications as requested
  2. Maintain all levels of food hygiene throughout the preparation areas
  3. Reporting any Health & Safety / Food & Safety issues immediately to your line manager
  4. Ensuring god levels of customer service and care throughout your shift
  5. Report and work where directed by the Head/ Executive Chef according to business needs  

Accountabilities

  1. To ensure that Company, Client and Statutory regulations regarding Hygiene and Safety, Fire and Security are complied always
  2. To set the example by being professional always
  3. To maintain and ensure team work and good ethics with your colleagues and Supervisors
  4. To have a complete understanding of Sodexo policies, rules and regulations
  5. To order own produce for own section, per section covering
  6. To assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals and services to the company’s standard and the Clients satisfaction
  7. To ensure that supplies are properly used and accounted for
  8. To work within cost and production constraints as specified
  9. To ensure that areas under your control are kept clean and tidy as is reasonably practicable always
  10. To assist in taking stock and sales control sheets
  11. To assist in other catering areas as and when requested
  12. To report any complaint, compliment or incident, fire, theft, loss, damage or other irregularity to your line manager
  13. To promote a friendly, helpful and professional service
  14. To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time
  15. To carry out any legitimate instruction requested by Management
  16. To sign in and out prior each day and under authorisation of your line manager

     

The Ideal Candidate

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  1. Previous experience working in an A grade restaurant or blue chip contract
  2. The ability to plan and prioritise
  3. Should be able to work flexible times (some evenings)
  4. Exceptional customer service skills
  5. Eye for detail
