Job Introduction

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding catering service? Do you have a proven track record in managing  a catering team?

We are looking for an experienced catering professional to join the Sodexo team as a Chef Manager on our blue chip client site in Guildford. You would be innovative, willing to grow professionally and are looking for a challenge.

This is a fantastic role for someone with great leadership behaviours, strength in building client relationships, influencing skills as well as development of commercially viable solutions.

Role Responsibility

  • To provide excellent customer service from the preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages to the clientand Sodexo’s satisfaction, and to ensure standards are met.
  • To work as part of the supervisory team on site, providing first line support for staff in close collaboration with General Manager. 
  • To manage and control the catering service for the Client to the agreed specification and performance, ensuring quality.
  • Achieving budget targets

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Excellent Catering Skills
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a catering team
  • Proven track record in innovation of services - Health and Wellbeing being a key driver.
  • Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments & innovations
  • Strong financial understanding and demonstrable budgeting management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in working in a standards / compliance environment

Desirable

  • Food Safety L3 qualification
