Chef Manager (Head Chef)

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our team on site.

This is a Monday to Friday operation with a breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

You will be responsible for menu planning, bookkeeping and will manage a team ensuring they are fully engaged and motivated.

Role Responsibility

•Organise and lead the preparation and presentation of all meals service at the required times and to the required high standard. Breakfast, Lunch and Hospitality requests.

•Ensure the highest standard of service delivery at all times.

•Manage menu planning, orders, and receiving, checking and storing deliveries as requested.

•Complete bookwork/administration and to adhere with compliance and company policies

•Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.

•Ensure that the Company and Statutory Regulations pertaining to the safe and hygienic operation of the kitchen and ancillary areas are adhered to by all members of staff and visitors.

•Work with a marketing plan to carry out events , promote the services effectively and engage staff in proactive marketing to ensure customer interest and focus on maximising sales

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Previous experience of chef supervision
  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria
  • Sense of own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good financial awareness
  • IT Literate

Desirable

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent
  • CIEH/IOSH

Package Description

Monday - Friday (Occassional weekend)
