Chef / Cook

Job Introduction

Sodexo have been managing catering services at Doncaster Royal Infirmary since January 2018. We now require additional resource to ensure we deliver an excellent service to our client. We are therefore looking a new Chef / Cook to join the team.

Role Responsibility

  • Prepare all foods required for patient, staff and visitor food services, providing for varying dietary requirements. This includes regen options and fresh cook.
  • Ensure stock control and rotation procedures are maintained
  • Complete all audit and quality standards documentation as required
  • Monitor all wastage and take remedial action following the agreed process
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the food preparation and service areas at all times paying attention to the Health and Safety regulations
  • Have the ability to be flexible and adaptable when the need arises.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified chef or experienced Cook
  • Ability to understand detailed instructions
  • Understanding and adherence to current legislation at all times
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to develop and build good team relationships

Desirable

  • Food hygiene certificate level 2 or above
  • IOSH

Package Description

37.5 hours per week on a 5 over 7 roster pattern.

20% enhancement paid for shifts that fall on a weekend.
