Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for Kitchen Porters to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • To ensure that the Company and Statutory regulations regarding health, safety and hygiene are complied with.
  • To ensure that the Companys standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained.
  • To maintain the Companys standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • To maintain the cleanliness of the stores and refrigerator areas.
  • To undertake any reasonable requests by Management.
  • To assist with basic food preparation as required.
  • To assist at special functions, some of which may occasionally occur outside normal working hours.
  • To always maintain a high standard of dress and behaviour.
  • To ensure standards within the food offer are maintained
  • To report any complaint or compliment.
  • To report any incident of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage and take action as may be appropriate.
  • To ensure that all aspects of the Food Safety Act 1990 are adhered to.
  • To attend training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Operate, strip, clean, and machine setting of all equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean & tidy.
  • To strictly follow and adhere to all factory Hygiene and Cleaning procedures.
  • Correct wearing of PPE in line with CPU requirements at all times.
  • To follow all Company procedures with respect to food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
  • Report all faulty equipment to your line manager, report dangerous working practices and occurrences

The Ideal Candidate

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife skills
  • Flexible approach (multi skilled team movement can be reactive to business needs or changing on hour to hour basis).
  • To work alone and also as part of a team
  • Ability to work under some pressure to meet daily output requirements
  • Read and understand written instructions, product specifications, scales and temperature probes
  • Ability to write legibly to complete due diligence paperwork
