Catering Manager

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Manager to work at our Sodexo offices based in Salford

 

As the Catering Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the catering provision for this busy contract. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Sodexo provides the highest possible standard of catering service to our staff and visitors.

You will take accountability for ordering  food and ensure all meals are produced, presented and delivered to a high standard of quality.  You will also be responsible for the training, development and management of staff, improving sales and meeting targets.

 

Role Responsibility

•Catering service Monday to Friday

•Management of a team of catering staff

•To organise and lead the preparation and presentation of all meals service at the required times and to the required high standard.

•To ensure that the Company and Statutory Regulations are adhered to by all members of staff and visitors in the absence of management.

•To manage menu planning, rotas, orders, and receiving, checking and storing deliveries as requested.

•To ensure all staff are working hygienically at all times.

•To take all necessary steps to ensure maximum security of the kitchen, store, office and any other areas under Sodexo control.

•To assist as may be required from time to time with the services and cleaning down of the unit.

•To assist the Management to monitor the performance of staff and provide training and coaching as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

•Intermediate  food hygiene certificate

•IOSH managing safely

•706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent

•Management experience in contract catering

•Proven track record in budget control and achieving targets

•Demonstrable client management skills

•Excellent IT skills

•Excellent communication skills
