Casual Porter- Driver

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Porter / Driver to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression

Role Responsibility

Duties include: The movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley or bed.  Transportation handling of pathology specimens, washing and cleaning of trolleys, transportation handling of furniture, driving a company van to community sites with specimens, must hold a clean driving licence. Applicants must be flexible. Good communication and customer care skills are required.

1.Ability to communicate at all levels

2.Physically able to push trolley’s and beds at all times

3.Ability to deal with clinical waste, smells, bodily excretions & fluids

4.Ability to follow instruction

5.Ability to comply with service requirements in line with client policies at all times.

6.Observance of Health and Safety legislation at all times

7.Undertake training as and when required

8.High standards of personal hygiene

9.Ability to work independently and as part of a team

10.Basic literacy skills

Package Description

Looking for a Casual Porter/Driver to work at North Devon District Hospital covering various shifts when required to cover staff absences and annual leave. 

Shifts you may be asked to work could include 06:00-14:00, 08:00-14:30, 12:00-20:00, 13:00-21:00, 14:00-22:00

Must hold a clean driving licence
