Job Introduction

Norfolk & Suffolk CRC is currently recruiting for Case Administrators based in Norwich.

The role of Case Administrator is integral to the successful and smooth running of the CRC. You will work with a range of colleagues and partners supporting the work of reducing reoffending and providing a service to community teams. You will be responsible for day to day administration on site including use of IT and telephone systems. This is a key supporting role to our probation and programmes teams.

The role of Norfolk & Suffolk CRC is to rehabilitate offenders, reduce reoffending and protect the public.  We work with offenders both in the community and in custody to deliver the sentence of the court, rehabilitate and provide a range of programmes and interventions.  We deliver services to low and medium risk offenders.  Our aim is to create a better future for the people we work with - offenders, victims and their families and local communities. 

Within Norfolk & Suffolk CRC Case Administration is delivered within 3 key functions.

  • Intake - starting the Offender Journey
  • Monitoring – maintaining and tracking
  • Enforcement – ensuring compliance throughout.

Role Responsibility

  • Operate a case management system e.g. creating and maintaining case records.
  • Providing administrative support to Responsible Officers e.g. sending letters.
  • Following processes and procedures in respect of the case administration process in a timely fashion to meet deadlines and monitoring targets.
  • Liaise with external organisations as required, including working closely with the National Probation Service.
  • Dealing with queries/enquiries from Service Users directly over the phone.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven admin support experience
  • Knowledge of handling confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to use IT systems (specifically Microsoft Office)
  • Experience of working to deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to use own initiative and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
  •  Strong team player.

Package Description

Band 2 salary commencing at £17,417 p.a

37 hours per week, 27 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, defined contribution pension scheme, company sick pay, group discount scheme.
