Caretaker - Part Time

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Offaly sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

 

 

 

  1. Have full knowledge of all areas with regards to building fabric and maintenance.   
  2. Full clean drivers licence
  3. Ensure all areas are maintained to the standard required.
  4. To undertake minor repairs to building fabric, services and equipment as requested by FM
  5. Have full working knowledge of all tools, equipment, materials and agents and use equipment as directed by your FM manager only after correct training has been given. 
  6. Report any safety hazards or inappropriate compromises to the FM Manager e.g.  locked fire door, lifting flooring, lights not working etc
  7. Complete daily/weekly checks and report any issues 
  8. Report any equipment, which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use.
  9. Ensure that the specified safety signage is used at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and “warn/advise” customers where possible.
  10. To be aware of material expenditure and cost and avoid unnecessary waste
  11. Ensure that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy and equipment stored safely at all times.

 

 

 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

  1. Comply with all security regulations for materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Sodexo and report immediately any shortages or discrepancies found.
  2. Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified.
  3. Inform your FM manager of low levels of material stocks where appropriate so that new supplies can be re-ordered
  4. To deal with Helpdesk Calls immediately within specified time reporting back to Helpdesk /FM Manager.
  5. Attend training courses and meetings as is necessary to maintain standards in the contract and assist in carrying out the job role efficiently (Some of which may occur outside normal working hours)
  6. Provide cover in other areas in times of sickness and holidays.
  7. Ensure all tools and equipment is kept clean & maintained in safe working order.  Report any defects to the FM Manager immediately.
  8. Comply with all Company policies procedures and client site rules and regulations
  9. Comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and chemical safety. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place
  10. Carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by FM Manager
  11. To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time.  Some of which may occur outside normal working hours.

    19. To carry out reasonable periods of overtime as may be required from time to time.

    20.  Flexible working hours to comply with school functions and additional tasks required to be complete outside school hours.
