Business Development Manager

Job Introduction

Do you have proven experience in managing a team of Business Development Managers, with a successful track record in complex bids? Are you driven and committed? Do you have proven experience of working in a Facilities Management environment, including both hard and soft services?

Sodexo are currently looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Ireland. Reporting into the Head of Business Development, you will own the customer relationship and design complex win strategies together with bid teams for bids and sales projects, to achieve the segment sales strategy for target clients.

 

 

Role Responsibility

  • Develop the lead generators in the pipeline conversion of targeted account and capture activity on CRM.
  • Actively drive the development of Sodexo’s business by managing complex projects aimed at securing new business and renewing contracts
  • Specialise in generating best in class bid submissions for Sodexo (from relationship building to contract closure via solution creation, presentations)
  • Architect a financially and operationally compelling solution for both Sodexo and our prospective clients
  • Support management and development of Irish CS sales team, including succession planning
  • Leverage Marketing and Strategy support to define offer portfolio in Ireland
  • Work with Sodexo colleagues in countries where lead client may originate outside Ireland
  • Actively lead contract negotiations within assigned delegations of authority to close the deal
  • To provide thought leadership on Quality of Life Services, leveraging the corporate philosophy to communicate our strategy map to attract new opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience and successful track record in bidding complex bids.
  • Experience of managing a team of Business Development managers with a proven track record of driving improvements in their performance and creating high levels of motivation and engagement
  • Proven experience of working successfully in a facilities management environment, including both hard and soft services
  • Proven experience of working effectively in a matrix structure
  • Experience of managing and participating in project teams that work and working with project management disciplines
  • Senior Management role in similar industry setting
  • Highly numerate with the ability to understand commercial negotiations
  • A commercial thinker with the ability to understand and guide commercial negotiations
  • In-depth experience of devising IFM solutions for a variety of organisation types
  • Good interpersonal skills, influence and impact, working with others
