Business Development Manager

Job Introduction

This is a 12 month contract.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to proactively sell events, charters and conferences for the Bateaux. Bateaux combines quality dining, superb entertainment and spectacular views from the river. This role will drive pipeline enquiries by targeting new customers using and innovative and focused approach whilst ensuring we always deliver the best experience to all customers.

Our heritage is built on catering and hospitality experience and fuelled by our passion for exceptional food and service. For over 40 years we have been providing bespoke catering and hospitality services for sports stadia, racecourses, visitor, attractions, historic venues, major events and premium airline lounges. Recognised across the globe for hospitality, we help create exceptional moments at extraordinary events such as Royal Ascot, Tour de France, The Open Championship and RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Role Responsibility

Supporting the Sales and Marketing Director you will assist with the creation and execution of the sales and marketing strategy for the site with the main objective of identifying and facilitating new business to the venue. Actively considering and executing new and pro-active ways of developing the business and increasing sales revenue in order for the site to achieve sales revenue targets. You will benefit from information and leads being passed on from our Central Hub and Regional Manager in addition to enquiries coming into the venue. Building strong internal and external partnerships you will attend networking events, contact previous customers and promote the venue using various marketing techniques. This is an excellent role for a proactive and driven person who enjoys exceeding targets.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent business relationship building skills and building of trust
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets ideally within the events or hospitality industry, although training will be provided.
  • Proven success in developing and executing pro-active sales initiatives with the desired results
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to create excellent client relationships

Package Description

Up to £31,000 + Bonus + Benefits

12 month fixed term contract
