Job Introduction

Sodexo's Government and Agencies Segment are looking for a Bid Writer to join our Business Development Team on a permanent basis.

As a Bid Writer you will play an instrumental part in producing high quality and compelling written material that clearly articulates the benefits of the Sodexo proposition.

The opportunity will focus on the generation of high quality written tender material for catering and facilities management contracts within our Sodexo Government & Agencies segment. You will also play a part in developing, growing and retaining Sodexo business through delivering the Sodexo Government & Agencies sales strategy by preparing and reviewing bid submissions for quality, accuracy and potential improvement.

Role Responsibility

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced bid writer with exceptional writing skills to help provide their expertise and support in our healthy pipeline of activity.

In this fast-paced and challenging role, you'll be responsible for producing high quality, engaging proposals which clearly articulate the company's offering.

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business and be knowledgeable on the sales strategy, developing customised innovative and engaging tender documents.

You will demonstrate proactive involvement in the business development team and be considered the “go to” person for effective written communications.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent written skills with strong focus on attention to detail
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable achievement in the design and implementation of tender response documents
  • Proven track record in delivering multiple projects on time and successfully.
  • Proven capacity to effectively manage complex proposal development processes, alongside colleagues with various levels of skills and experience
  • Excellent MS Office, PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign skills
