Job Introduction

The Courtyard is a new dining concept at Coventry University.  The laid back vibes in modern surroundings, coupled with a freshly cooked to order menu all add up to a great place to work.  Our success means that we are looking to recruit additional team members and we are looking to recruit experienced baristas / servers to support our continues growth.. Role Responsibility

  • Deliver outstanding food and beverage service in a professional manner with high levels of customer service at all times
  • Create the perfect dinning space for our customers by setting and cleaning tables and service areas to the highest standards
  • Ensure you remain fully conversant with the details of menu items & daily specials at all times so, you are able to communicate details of dishes to our customers
  • Your fantastic selling skills will ensure you seize every opportunity to up-sell additional products when appropriate
  • Genuinely check with our customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • When things don't quite go as planned, ensure our customers leave feeling their complaints and comments have been dealt with to the highest standard and that they want to return

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous high volume restaurant/barista experience essential
  • Excellent selling skills
  • Great understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
  • exacting standards in customer service
  • The ability to accurately process information/merchandise through the Till system with a good standard of numeracy
  • First class communication skills and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to demonstrate great team work
