Role Responsibility

Bar Supervisor

Supervise and be actively involved in the bar service.

  • Maintain an efficient Bar and stock room
  • Roster and supervise bar staff with the ability to motivate your team
  • Responsible for safe and secure handling of bar stocks, till operation and cash
  • Place stock orders
  • Taking the lead in marketing campaigns to drive footfall and revenue

General assistant duties within the catering, retail and hospitality services

  • Till and counter service
  • Supporting hospitality services and events
  • Attending weekly team meetings
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in your area of concern
  • Maintaining food safety and health and safety to meet legal and company requirements 
  • Hazard and defect reporting

The Ideal Candidate

  • Possess good customer service skills
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Good understanding of cash handling and till operation
  • Self-motivated and motivator     
  • Your shifts/hours will be varied according to the business needs, which will include day-time, night-time and weekends on a rota basis.

Package Description

We are currently looking for a Bar Supervisor / Cook to work at an exciting student bar at Sutton Bonington Campus.

The successful candidate will be in charge of staff rotas, ordering, stock taking, handling money and doing the cooking from the bar menu of the hot food snack options available to order.

Working hours are 5 out of 7 days a week from 11am to 8pm

We are looking for a charismatic and energetic person that would bring enthusiasm to the job, and self motivation to deliver high standards and fresh ideas.

We have competitive rates of pay. On the job training will be provided. When the bar isn't in use (out of term time) you will be required to support other areas of the business.
