Audio Typist

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Audio Typist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

Audio Typist

  • Police work – audio typing from tapes, statements, case file numbering and anything else as requested.
  • Provide typing for SIB.
  • Letters for all unit personnel.
  • Daily Detail and repeats. 
  • Part One Orders and repeats.
  • Updating call out lists and dependants details and rosters.
  • Standing Orders.
  • Op Orders and Instructions.
  • Risk Assessments.
  • Briefs and visit programmes. 
  • Wire diagrams, tables and work in Excel.
  • Police work is treated as a priority and produced on time.
  • Daily Detail is collated every day by 1600 hrs, keeping a record of repeats.
  • Standing Orders are amended and amendments recorded.
  • Part One Orders are produced every Friday and a record kept of repeats; (monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly).
  • Personnel details are correct on the call out list and kept updated.
  • Dependants list is kept up to date.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Civil Service Manuscript Grading Test (30 wpm net speed); or acceptable external qualifications e.g. RSA Typing Skills Stage III (Advanced) - Pass or Text Processing III (Part 1) - Distinction/Pitmans Typing Advanced - First Class Pass/SCOTVEC Typing 6 or Typewriting 5 plus Copy Speed Test at 35 wpm/LCCI Higher Typing - Distinction or Third Level Pass with Proficiency Certificate and endorsement of speed test pass. 
  • Audio typing skills.
  • Knowledge of tables.
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Excel.

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of military IT systems and environment.
 
  • Service writing and layouts.
