Assistant Hospitality Manager
Job Introduction
We are looking for a Assistant Hospitality Manager to help our hospitality team in providing an efficient and friendly service of internal and external hospitality events.
Role Responsibility
DUTIES:
To make sure you are aware of, and meet the legal and college requirements for Fire, food safety, Health and Hygiene
To report any Health and Safety issues to your line manager including any accidents and near misses
To promote good safety habits and methods of work
To assist in the preparation of hospitality, setting up, clearing down, ensuring all is left to a high standard
To comply with college procedures relating to cash handling and security reporting any issues to your line manager
To operate machinery as shown and trained to do so, ensuring the equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies
To undertake any reasonable requests by Management.
To attend training sessions and staff meetings.
Assist with the day to day management of all hospitality operations within the unit
To liaise with the hospitality manager to review scheduled functions and events
Supervise and assist, with preparation, setting up of furniture and equipment for the functions and events
To ensure that the food and beverage service and the function or event is performed at all times in a professional manner and to the style specified by the hospitality manager
To communicate with the staff in the kitchen and at front of house.
In the absence of the hospitality manager to be able to fully brief the staff prior to the functions/events
To ensure that all equipment is efficiently prepared and transported to the event venue and is clean and cleared away after service.
To report any complaints and concerns to the hospitality manager.
Making sure hospitality area is clean and tidy at all times
IRREGULAR DUTIES:
To assist with other areas of the catering service when required.
To liaise with external clients in the absence of the hospitality manager.

52 Weeks a year
40 hours a week
Will have to work weekends and evening shifts
