Assistant Finance Manager

Job Introduction

 

We are looking to recruit a Assistant Finance Manager  to work on site at one of our new contracts, the Farnborough International Conference Centre. This role will be responsible for supporting the production of high quality management information to the business and the Client, which will support and substantiate the financials with a strong emphasis on revenue and cost analysis, cost control and profit improvement opportunities.

Role Responsibility

Forming productive relationships with operational heads of department you will help embed a strong commercial focus, ensuring budgets and forecasts are robust and owned. You will be responsible for developing management accounts for the contract to support operational decisions and analysis, managing all accounts on site across our service lines, Retail, Hospitality and Fixed Operations. You will be required to enter daily cash breakdowns on all these accounts, managing purchase ledger and reconciliations using SAP and Basware. Acting as the lead contact with external suppliers and the Accounts Payable team in Sodexo shared service you will manage all purchase orders and invoice queries. Due to this being a site based role, you will be operational, spending time away from your desk, meeting managers and visible across the site. There will also be times where you will need to be hands on, maybe helping out with a stock take or cashing up tills, therefore we are looking for someone to be open to various situations and happy to be hands on when required. In return you will be able to work in a fantastic environment, a brand new building in a varied and challenging role.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Preferably studying for a professional accountancy qualification or desire to start
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Desirable to have good working knowledge of SAP and E-ProphIT or other large similar systems
  • Desirable to have knowledge of a high volume retail and cash environment and stock taking
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
