Assistant Bar Manager

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Assistant Bar Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

Operational Service

  • Oversee the service of food & beverages within the City Bar.
  • Ensure cash procedures are adhered to and strictly monitored, including preparation and calculation of beverage bills within all departments, and cashing up of tills as per Sodexo Cash Handling Policy
  • Take responsibility for stock control, including ordering, acceptance, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and report &return of any sub-standard items
  • Ensure security is maintained and events are staffed appropriately and in accordance with licensing laws and Licencing Procedures.
  • Involve and manage beverage promotions ensuring costings are accurate with achieving correct GP
  • Report and liaise regularly with management team regarding departmental performance and ensure they are informed of any relevant information or issues
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Liaise with hospitality team regarding organisation of functions
  • Liaise with chef on duty to ensure seemless food service and ensure good communication with head chef to provide feedback on food service
  • Liaise with SU key members on regular basis to ensure up to date information on events is available and passed on
  • Ensure breaks are organised in accordance with fluctuations in the volume of business
  • Assist with service in other areas of the site and prompt response to any reasonable management request

The Ideal Candidate

Desirable:

  • Personal Licence Holder
  • Knowledge on cocktail
  • Previous management experience
