Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for Audio Visual / IT Helpdesk Operative to support our busy unit. We organise and deliver varied functions and events for the client, managing a large number of rooms across the site.

Role Responsibility

As an Audio Visual / IT Helpdesk Operative you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a professional, timely and efficient front line Audio Visual and IT support to customers
  • Installing and configuring PC's, hardware, software and associated items
  • Set up and check meeting rooms with equipment, furniture and amenities
  • Provide technical support and solutions to customers via telephone and e-mail requests regarding the deployment, installation and configuration of PC's, hardware, software and associated items
  • Document calls and outcomes of actions taken, ensuring that customers are kept informed on the progress of outstanding support calls
  • Escalate support requests as appropriate to the IT Support Centre
  • Keep helpdesk systems and software up to date, and ensure messages and feedback is forwarded promptly
  • Work with the team leader and colleagues to agreed standards to ensure a professional and consistent service is maintained
  • Work within the Company, Client and Legal Health and Safety standards
  • To continuously develop knowledge in the role and undertake any training as required

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous hands-on experience working in an Audio Visual environment with direct experience of supporting multi-venue video conference events.
  • The ability to be pro-active
  • An eye for detail
  • Good organisational, problem solving and customer service skills
  • Knowledge in Health and Safety, and experience in installation and configuration of various PC's, hardware and software is also required
  • Comp TIA, A+ or equivalent would be advantageous
