Restaurant Supervisor

What you’ll do: 

  • Oversee the setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steamtables 
  • Ensuring equipment and workstations is sanitized
  • Reads recipes and/or product directions and estimate food requirements 
  • Overseeing the replenishment of food from counters and steam table and break down stations at the end of meal periods 

What you bring: 

  • Positive attitude, professionalism and respect for others 
  • Basic food-handling skills 
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) 
  • Food and Health and Safety Certificates 
  • Have previous supervisory experience.

Role Responsibility

  • To provide an efficient and friendly service to customers in all areas of the catering operations
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer requests & complaints
  • Coordinate / Manage daily catering operations
  • Coordinate and work closely with the catering team.
  • To take full responsibility for site’s hospitality and events as requested by the client
  • Complete ordering forms and aid in the completion of monthly stock take
  • Aid in the back of house management for all catering operations including month end
  • Maintain and develop good client relationships
  • Work with catering staff on their training and development
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage the catering operations good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • To fulfil any reasonable request by Site Manager
  • To attend/receive any job-related training as required
  • To report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible
  • To report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible
  • To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary
  • To provide cover in other areas during periods of holidays and sickness

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant / F&B Supervisor or a similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a Supervisor / Manager
  • Proven work experience with regards to stock management
  • Good food and beverage (F&B) knowledge
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices
  • High levels of personal hygiene and appearance

Package Description

Restaurant Supervisor – Permanent Full time.

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm, 37.5 hours per week.

£11.00 per hour + Benefits.

Full training and uniform supplied.
