HR Administrator

Job Introduction

Provide a confidential administrative support system and to assist in the maintenance of an effective, efficient and professional HR Function in order that the business’ objectives are met 

Role Responsibility

 

  • Managing all incoming calls to the office and dealing with themin an efficient and personable manner – forwarding all calls as appropriate, logging messages and dealing with enquiries directly if appropriate, on a daily basis.
  • Managing and prioritising post on a daily basis and ensuring that the HR Manager is informed of any key items.
  • To undertake admin or secretarial support to the HR Department, including preparing presentations, arranging travel, diary management, offer letters  and other tasks as appropriate
  • To read and prioritise emails on a daily basis; ensuring that any important or complex issues are forwarded or copied to the HR Advisor.
  • To provide guidance and overviews to Managers or Employees on HR policies and procedures as contained on SodexoNet; ensuring that the individual has actually read the policy / procedure before addressing any questions, and to refer any legal / procedural enquiries to the HR Advisor or HR Manager.
  • To maintain all personnel and Employee Relations files in line with Audit procedures and the Data Protection Act.
  • Assisting the HR Advisor / HR Manager / HR Director in preparing for documents for meetings, TUPE contracts (In and Out), tribunal hearings and general legal correspondence.
  • Payroll processing and maintenance in line with audit requirements

The Ideal Candidate

  • Graduate (within a HR Related discipline) preferred but not essential.
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Previous HR experience desirable
  • Awareness of Employee Relations processes
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach to work. Able to multi-task.
  • Organised, methodical and analytical
  • Hard working and target driven.
  • Good communication skills and proven ability to articulate self verbally and in writing
  • Interface with multiple levels of employees and management
