Sodexo have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Manager to join our talented team working for our client DVLA Swansea, South Wales. 

As the Catering Manager you will lead the catering team to deliver a best-in-class catering service ensuring the prompt and efficient service of all catering and hospitality at our client site. With excellent management and hospitality experience, you will ensure an efficient high-quality service to end users working Monday to Friday (40 hours) This busy contract consists of two cafes, 2 recently refurbished, modern staff restaurants, a retail shop, hospitality, a Creche and vending services.

This opportunity would suit someone with excellent customer service, craft and management skills with a background in the hospitality industry. Role Responsibility

  • Overall responsibility to organise and lead the preparation and presentation of a busy breakfast and lunch service at the required times and to the required high standard.
  • Ensure catering outlets are compliant in their offer and
  • To ensure that the Company and Statutory Regulations pertaining to the safe and hygienic operation of the kitchen and ancillary areas are adhered to by all members of staff and visitors in the absence of management.
  • To support the head chef in managing menu planning, rotas, orders, and receiving, checking and storing deliveries as requested.
  • To ensure all staff are working hygienically at all times.
  • To assist the Contract Manager to recruit, support, control and discipline staff according to the needs of the business within the procedure laid down by the company.
  • To keep records of any disciplinary issues and keep the Contract Manager and Human Resources informed of these.
  • To take all necessary steps to ensure maximum security of the kitchen, stores, office and any other areas under Sodexo control.
  • To assist the Contract Manager to monitor the performance of staff and provide training and coaching as necessary to ensure compliancy in all food legislation and training
  • Ensure care is taken with regards to special dietary requirements: for example, nut, dairy or allergies.
  • To carry out any reasonable request by management.
  • Organise and prepare any special functions which may sometimes be outside of normal working hours.

Up to £28,000 plus benefits
